Brockhole on Windermere is always the place to be during Autumn, especially with all the fiery colours and dramatic landscapes! This time of year is when I enjoy gardening the most. My talented team of gardeners help enhance the Thomas Mawson designed gardens for all visitors to enjoy and feel inspired by! During the changing season, we have been busy cutting yew hedges and features, clearing beds, planting thousands of bulbs and mulching with our own compost.
Here are a few ideas of how you can celebrate the changing season:
Bulb planting is great! Most spring flowering bulbs can be planted from the end of September until the end of November. But if required, you can still plant Tulips in December. The best results for snowdrops is planting them in February. It may look odd planting them as fully formed plants with fading flowers but trust us, they will be better next year.
