The Lake District National Park maintains more than 3,100km of paths and bridleways. Millions of visitors, combined with our Cumbrian climate, means we are constantly carrying out improvements and maintenance. To help with the upkeep we are asking locals and visitors to make a donation to help us look after this spectacular place now and in the future.
Did you know your donation can be made for all occasions – birthday, celebration or in memory of a special person?
If you are looking for a world class birthday gift, why not sponsor a fingerpost. Or perhaps you are on the hunt for a top-notch wedding gift. Spread your love of the Lakes and sponsor the most unique wedding gift you could imagine, a gate. You can also leave a lasting memory in a world class landscape with sponsoring a bridge.
Did you know the route around the lake is known as the Derwent Water Walk?
It’s new and we love how popular it is. We need to raise £5,000 for the Derwent Water Walk project. Your very kind donation goes towards maintaining, protecting and restoring this route for all to enjoy.
Have you seen the views from the summit of Orrest Head? Spectacular.
We want everyone to be able to see this magnificent view across Windermere. Young, old, those in pushchairs, wheelchairs and not so fast on their feet.
That’s why we’re restoring the old carriageway through Elleray Woods. A path accessible for all.
We need to raise £8,000 for the Ullswater Way project. Your donations go towards making this happen.
Have you walked the Ullswater Way today?
More than 60,000 visitors walk the fabulous route all year round. Now, that’s a lot of feet along one path.
We need to raise £8,000 for the Ullswater Way project. Your very kind donation goes towards maintaining, protecting and restoring this route for all to enjoy.
